A mess ....!

After I cleaned it up ... Wow! The dirt and mess of construction is a bit crazy. We plan on texturing the kitchen and bathroom on Saturday so I've got to get both rooms taped off and cleaned up.
The sink is in the corner ... I hope to get a new sink here and new fixtures for it.
I'd like to put new trim around those beautiful, new windows but the space between them (in the middle) does not allow for a bigger trim option. I'm thinking I'll keep the trim and paint it a new, clean white.

I like how the new door windows go well with the new wall windows.... feels clean and open.

Yipes - before cleaning.

"I want to see the new door!"

After school on Wednesday, Lauren requested I take her directly to the new (old) house so she could see the new door. And there's no way to just stop in and check things out - we both found something to do! :) Lauren removing hardware from a cabinet door.
Ohhhhh I like this door.... What's up with the hole in the door and the blue tape over it?

Perfect.

Checking out the back door ...

As is - outside view.
From the inside ...

Blue tape to cover the missing deadbolt. I ran to Home Depot yesterday and got one to match the door knob. Hopefully the door guy will be back today to finish it up.

The new back/side door ...

The new side/back door ...

Bye bye old door.

Door update: Our front door is in Seattle. The wrong door showed up so we'll hopefully get the right one tomorrow. I didn't realize this new side door needed a deadbolt so I'm off to get that.
The side door is in - just needs some finishing work and the deadbolt :) ... I'll snap a few photos later! Off to Home Depot.

For the front door ...

It's possible that the new doors will be installed tomorrow. I had so much fun today choosing the door hardware ... Took me an hour (and then some) to finally decide. There were three different styles in this color to choose from! I decided this would go well with the make/style of the house. {I love it!}

All these choices. So little time. :)

PS: I picked up more paint while I was out and about - Now I can get to work on the dining room and the kitchen. Let the fun continue ...

Taking down the kitchen cabinets ...

We worked on the top half last night and we're making progress. :)
Soon it will be time to paint them and add all the new hardware!

Tile in the bathroom ...

Kaleb and Tory working on a Monday night :)!
It's looking good guys.
