Last week I found this very cool old swag light - it has 2 of these glass balls with a very long chain. I decided to turn it into two lights - separated the two lines from the top piece and ta-dah (double the fun). My reasoning for not wanting to use the swag style fixture was because of the weight of the light and the fact that we would need to drill holes in the wall or ceiling to hang it properly. No holes in these walls :) - we've worked too hard to fix 'em up!I also gave the lights a new black color by spraying the chain and metal fixtures black. They look great and will hang upstairs - one in the hallway at the top of the stairs and one in the hallway by the upstairs bedrooms.
