I was painting when the power went out at the house this afternoon. Tory was framing a wall downstairs.
Amazing how the lack of light and heat can 'shut down' the work!

Let there be light (and heat and water) ...!
(A tour on Thanksgiving morning) Jennie, Owen and Kathy - just outside the kitchen ...It took us about 5 months to finally close the deal on this house. I won't bore you with all the crazy and stressful details (no need to live them again) ...
But I will say that it is a little frustrating to own a home and not be able to turn on a light or run any water. We are so excited to get to work on the place and did our best during the Thanksgiving holiday to do just that!
It was cold and daylight ends around 4 PM ... so the work adventure didn't last long. I am happy to report that we were able to mend a few walls and prep the upstairs bedrooms for paint. Yahooo! It's a start.
About the power:
It should be turned on by Wed. - That will be cause for celebration.
Yes - there will be light and heat and water (we hope!)
