My BEHR paint friends ...

Always nice to be be greeted by these colorful 'friends' ... :)

Dark vs. Light ...

Before

After ...

Tory and I really want the house to be light and decided to go with lighter colors... We were going to do the entire living room in a darker brown but decided not to. There will be one wall at the opposite end (from this view) that will be in a dark brown.

I'm really happy with how light and calm the place feels ... Our new windows should be in this week or next! I can hardly wait ... :)

Progress.

Before we started painting, this room was all blue. It is now a very nice brown with white on the ceiling and trim. I like how the room turned out! It feels new and clean and very happy! :)

The ceiling

We're not crazy about this blue but we do love the shape of the room! Check out the ceiling and the floors ... Color subject to change (during Christmas break)!!

For the love of PAINT!

I must admit that I love color. It's been fun to see what's out there and gather it up ...
I've got a collection of paint cards. I'm drawn to the browns, creams and whites. I also love red and black ...

Last weekend, we were able to pick out the paint colors for the 3 kid's bedrooms!

Lauren - natural brown and white
Kaleb - slate blue, sweatshirt gray and white
Kade - buttercream yellow, white and sweatshirt gray

I'll post photos when we get the rooms painted (before, during and after shots) ...
