The floor

Check out that floor - :) Eventually, we'll put a pellet stove in the right hand corner...!
And we'll snuggle up and sip hot chocolate and enjoy every moment. I can hardly wait to get moved in!

Project update: Things as they are now.

view from the dining room looking into the kitchen - you can see the side/back door
(The stairs to the basement are to the left of the side/back door)

The stairs going up. You see these to your left as you enter the front door.
In the works - carpet and paint.

View from the dining room. (Tory finished the dry wall in this room last night and started tearing into the kitchen). Can hardly wait to get over there and check it out.

The front room. The entry way you see leads into the dining room. In the right corner (beyond the stack of bricks) is where we will have a corner fireplace - with a pellet stove.

The start of something wonderful ...

Here's an interesting space ... It's on the main floor (in the middle of the room). Someone had a good idea for a fire place. But didn't quite finish the dream...We're thinking we'll add a pellet stove there. I found an old harth piece during the summer and I'm excited to see how it looks there.

Check out the hard wood floors - love them!

Power update: We have power in the place - just need to get some lights running now! :)
If you live in one of these old 'letter homes' you already know that light is a challenge. For some reason, back in the 1940's they didn't think we needed any lights in the main rooms. It's odd but part of the adventure. Luckily in this house, there are lots of windows.

I love windows.
