The floor

Check out that floor - :) Eventually, we'll put a pellet stove in the right hand corner...!
And we'll snuggle up and sip hot chocolate and enjoy every moment. I can hardly wait to get moved in!

The finish on the floors ...

After work today, Tory started applying the finish to the floors. They look really great ...
We'll work on the second coat tomorrow.

Another room upstaris ... (with hardwood floors)

This floor is ready for the 'finishing touches' .... I love these old floors. We didn't use use wood putty to fill in the lines because we like them there. :)

The floor upstairs ...

Look at that old wood floor ...

Look at that working Superman :) ...

Check out the new color :) ...

PS: This refinish the floor project has been crazy, stressful and at times very funny.
I'm in no hurry to do this again (ever).

The hardwood floors (first attempt) ...

We rented a buffing machine this morning in hopes of having it remove the top layer of the hardwood floors. No such luck.

We even had our first born sit on the machine to give it more power ... no luck!

The machine - it failed. So we took it back to the rental shop and picked up a stronger tool/machine.
