A bird cage.

While my daughter, Lauren, has piano lessons, I frequent the antique shops around the music store. Yesterday, I bumped into this little bird cage and knew it had to come home with me. :)
Don't you love the simple things in life that add magic to our days? Me too.

Snapshots of the front room.

Not too long ago, I read a little blurb in "Country Living" Magazine and it stuck:

{Show your style}

Modern or traditional, classic or eclectic: the rooms that we feel most comfortable in are the ones that reflect our personal style.

In the backyard ...

We have 2 BIG trees ...
A lot of weeds ...

And a big pile of branches that blew down from the wind.
Mostly we have a lot of work to do in the back yard :) ...

A bird nest ...

Can you see the bird's nest up in the corner? I watch this little bird everyday from my kitchen window ... :) And while I'm out working in the yard she sits in the tree and watches me.

We have respect for one another.

The roses.

The rose garden ... It needs love. I've been weeding and watering them and it's GREAT to see them coming back to LIFE. :)
Roses are my absolute favorite flower! Special thanks to the sky for dumping a bunch of water/rain on us this week!

The kitchen.

Snapshots of the kitchen ... It's coming together :)
Stay tuned for more ...

Flowers on the front porch ...

I love flowers ... especially by the front door! I've been busy in the yard trying to bring it back to life ... thank heavens for water, sprinklers and rainy days! :)

A touch of black in the dining room ...

I painted the wood curtain rod black yesterday ... I like it! :) The dining room is starting to come to life. And I'm finally getting through the boxes - ahhhhh cheers to progress!
