I bumped into this room via a decorating book by Better Homes and Gardens and wanted to jump into the book and sit in that red chair and soak up the sun. I love how cozy and inviting that room looks/feels.
I love doors - especially old doors like the one pictured above. I bumped into this beauty while walking around in Bellingham, WA a couple of summers ago.
Sometime in early 2010 ... we dug into this old house!
And at Christmastime we enjoyed the beauty of all the hard work :) ....
And I think to myself ... WOW! Don't you find it amazing how each of us can make it through tough times? We do it one little moment at a time. 
I painted this little, old bar stool red to match the hutch in the dining room - now I just need to pick the fabric to recover the top of it. Hmmmmm ....
Earlier this week, the sunshine came out (yahoooooo) and I decided to change the curtain in the dining room. Let the sunshine in ... It's not finished yet but I'm working on it! :)
Someday we'll get the trim up in this house :) ... For now I just like to look up and see the lovely plates along the top of the kitchen cabinets. There is something very charming about cream and black. I like it.
I found these really cool, vintage red glasses and they look great in the kitchen... adds a little pop of color and energy!
