From white to brown ...

The paint
The wall

Rolling it on.

Getting it done ...

Love it.

Looks good from every angle :) ...
Brown. The end.

Paint: Take 2 ...

I painted a wall in the front room brown today ... It looks really nice with the cream (on the walls) and the white on the ceiling.

Painting notes: Tory and I repainted the ceilings in the front room and dining room b/c the first color looked a bit pink under the lights ...! It looks GREAT now! :)

Treasures on the back porch ...

This house has a great covered porch in the back and as you can see it's being filled up with future projects! I like knowing that everything still has a purpose :) ...
See all those old windows? I just couldn't toss 'em out! Thanks to the crew today for gathering them up and saving them for me!

{A happy place}

I think our house is smiling :) ... Amazing what new windows will do to a place!

Looking up ...

at the window in the hallway ...

Looking down ...

Standing on the stairs looking at the windows ... :)

The kitchen windows ...

outside view ...
Inside view ... I love how these look!

The rooms upstairs ...

Pulled all the window stickers off and took another batch of photos ... :)

A moment of thanks!

Front room - side windows
Dining room

The BIG front window! I was a little worried about how the grids would look on a window this size but I LOVE it!

Moment from today:
I stopped by to check out the windows and told one of the construction workers thanks for making the house look so beautiful and he looked and me and said:
"Thanks for the work" ...

I've been thinking about what he said all day. His comment really touched me. Amazing how a word of thanks can go so far! Note to self: Slow down and show more gratitude to everyone everywhere! :)

Windows - Upstairs ...

This is the window in the top of the stairs ...

Kaleb's room AKA: The Mariner Room

Lauren's room ...

Kade's room ...
Major wow and transformation in all areas! :) ...

A glimpse.

Just a glimpse ... I'll take more photos as the day goes on! :)

A touch of black ...

I found 4 of these chairs at an estate sale ... I can hardly wait to fix them up and use them in the dining room! :)

A 71 watt bulb ...

Kaleb changing the lightbulb in the kitchen ... Ahhhh what a difference ONE bulb makes! :)

Thursday night in the kitchen ...!

Check this out! Cabinets ready for new paint and hardware.
The doors ... the drawers ... the work involved! :)

WOW! This is only the bottom half of the shelves... I am so thankful Kaleb could join me in the kitchen tonight for some fun! I love spending time with him - he is so funny and interesting.

I took a moment and did a little shabby chic on this one door ... I may end up doing a little 'shabby magic' on all of them?!

The hardware.

Kaleb ... telling me about "The Diary of a Whimpy Kid" books ... funny!

Wendy ... I am officially a full-time construction worker these days! :)

Kaleb

One down ... 20 to go :)!!

Ready for color ...

{The dining room}
It's all textured and primed - ready for color to give it life! :)

Looking good!

Standing in the hallway looking into the rooms ... Ahhhhh it's looking good! :)

Groovy Baby ...!

These glasses are ultra cool ... They go perfect with the tunes from the 60's and 70's ...! :)

The day after ...

A shot of our new, light color in the front room... I still like it today.
That's a good thing! :)

It's very light but will work perfect for my overall vision for the place.

I need an 8 foot giant ...

This is the window at the top of the hallway and as you can see, it is very high. I left the top section of plastic and tape for the 8 foot giant that will hopefully stop by tomorrow! :)

This is one of the doors in the upstairs hallway. We covered them with tape and plastic so we could texture and paint last weekend. Pulling it off was a mess - all the texture flying off made it feel like it was snowing!

I spent about 3 hours cleaning today ... It was crazy from last weekend's work adventure. It looks and feels much better. Tomorrow I can focus on paint and primer in the dining room.
