The laundry room ...

Yipes! This is another room full of possibility and in need of lots of work and love!
We're going to get a new water heater today and Tory is working on getting the water running in the house. Location: In the basement.

The stairs - going down...

We have not done much to the basement. It's dark, ugly and needs a great deal of work! Today, Tory and the boys ripped out the carpet down the stairs and in the main room of the basement.

Yup - we see the possibilities of what CAN BE down there. We just have to make it happen.

Saturday morning snapshots ... (and thoughts)

The stove will go in between the bar/island and the long counter on the right of the above photo. We want a stove that will be black and stainless steel. We have yet to find just the right one.

This kitchen has a really nice feel and flow to it ... I'm thrilled that it is coming together so well.

I love the color of those cabinets and the contrast with the black. The taupe adds a nice, peaceful feel to the room. What to do for counter tops? Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Getting the fridge into the kitchen ...

Reading the instructions on how to remove the fridge doors. It was tricky because there is a water line (for the ice maker) that runs through the left hand door. The doors had to be removed in order for us to get the fridge into the kitchen!

With the doors off we were able to move it into the kitchen. :)
