I found this pretty little light at Lowe's for just under 7 dollars. I really like everything about it except the bronze/gold color. So I found a can of flat black spray paint for 99 cents and decided to turn it black.

The process: I taped the bottom of the light with blue painter's tape. Then I stuffed a plastic grocery bag inside the fixture to keep the important parts from being ruined.

I took the light outside to spray it.

Ta-
dah! It only took about 20 minutes to dry. I also spray painted the 3 screws black so they would match the light.

Check it out.

Love it. A new light for under $9.00 - that's what I call creative home decorating! :)
